Welcome to the Light Adventure, December 5, 2024 – January 6, 2025!

Light Adventure has now ended. Thank you to everyone who participated! We have contacted the winners by email. 

Explore Turku’s ghosts and fascinating historical events on a free, one-kilometer tour in the Old Town. At the end of the tour, you’ll have the chance to light up the Whispers of the Past light installation!

Instructions for the Light Adventure

1. Head out to the first checkpoint located at Brahenpuisto Park, in front of Turku Cathedral. Check the map for exact location (icon has a Hoods compass). If you’re using a mobile device, please scroll down the page.

2. Answer the question and get a clue for the next checkpoint. The checkpoint has a QR code and a link to a digital answer form. Answer the question, and you will find out the location of the next checkpoint. You need a smartphone and an internet connection.

3. Visit all 8 checkpoints. At the last one, you’ll activate the Whispers of the Past light installation.

4. Take part in a prize raffle!

You can go on the Adventure every day from December 5, 2024, to January 6, 2025, from 4–9 pm. The light installation is switched off every night at 10 pm. 

Whispers of the Past Light Installation

The Whispers of the Past light installation and accompanying soundscape bring the ghosts of Turku’s past to life. Visitors to the installation will walk through Cathedral Park, where they may hear and see the whispers of spirits. What stories might they have to tell?

Please note that the installation is located in a park that is not maintained during the winter. Be especially careful in slippery conditions!

All participants will be entered into a prize draw.

Winners will be contacted by email by January 13, 2025. Providing an email address on the answer form is optional.

Accessibility 

Light Adventure is not fully accessible, as some checkpoints and the light installation are located in areas without winter maintenance. If you wish to complete the adventure in an accessible way, please contact us at info@hoods.fi.
