Community-oriented society located by the sea

Västanfjärd’s peaceful village roads and sheeps, grazing in coastal meadows, promise a serene everyday life in the heart of nature. At the same time, known for their strong sense of community and the village's long history, guarantee that there is a lot to see and do. The residents use services in Västanfjärd’s center Lammala. The Swedish-speaking school is located near Nivelax, but it is also nearby Västanfjärd. It takes only around 20 minutes from Västanfjärd to drive to the Center of Kemiö and Dalsbruk-Taalintehdas to reach their services.

The opencast mines are reminiscent of Västanfjärd's lime industry and its long history with sailing is still strongly present in the region. Looking even further down the timeline there is Jarlgård’s Jatulintarha. You can get to know these historical places in two different nature trails. You are most welcome to visit them and enjoy the archipelago’s nature. Despite the peaceful atmosphere, it is granted that you won’t get bored in Västanfjärd as it offers diverse hobbies such as yoga, golf, tennis and padel.
