The Fatijoki Valley consists of numerous small villages surrounded by fields and forests. Residents come together for the activities organized by enthusiastic village associations and can easily reach the services provided in the center of Nousiainen!

A charming countryside dotted with small villages 

The Fatijokilaakso valley, located north of the center of Nousiainen, consists of many villages, which have their own strong identities and history. In addition to the villages, the area has sparsely populated countryside with farms, lush forests, and cliffs.

From the Fatjoilaakso it is only a short drive to the services in the Nousiainen’s center, or if you live in some of the closer villages, even a bike ride will suffice. A school ride to the primary school located in the center of Nousiainen is offered for those who are at least 5 km away. The municipality also has its own high school. If you need something that only a bigger city can offer, you can get to the center of Turku in 30 minutes or under by Highway 8 (Valtatie 8). 

Fatijokilaakso residents enjoy nature and a great spirit of village communities. For example, the Fatijokilaakso Village Association actively organizes events such as parties and picnics. The forests of the neighborhood are great for outdoor activities, and are rich with berries. Valpperi's outdoor sports venues and the hiking terrain of Kuhankuono and Kurjenrahka are also nearby.
