Living in Turku as a student

Vieraskynä / Visiting author | 22.9.2020

During the Student Weeks, we introduce the City of Turku to new students. Venturing into university life will be much less scary when you already know something about the city you are studying and living in. We interviewed two students, Janette and Karlo, from Turku and asked their thoughts about the city and their neighborhoods.

This blog is written only in Finnish and you can find it in here. Try your Finnish skills!

We have also shared stories of international students, written in English. Get to know stories of 4 exchange students living in Turku or read Katerina's story, how she started her adult life in Turku, Finland.

Study in Turku

Our Know Your Hoods team organized Student Weeks during August and September, 2020. We introduced the City of Turku from the students’ perspective and shared our best tips for student life in the city. Read our earlier blog post about public transportation options in Turku (if you are confused with all the F-words in Turku public transport), learn more about exciting sports activities or what other activities there are in the city.

P.S. You can also try our search engine for neighborhoods and test which neighborhood in Turku Region fits you best. Search engine operates in English too!
