People living in Aura’s countryside are favored with a breathtaking landscape in the river valley. The southern and western villages in the countryside are habitually located near the Aura River and the Järvi River within excellent connections and transportation. Aura’s services are a 10-minute drive away at most.
The most famous southern villages are Pitkäniitty, Järvenoja and Simola. The latter one is located right next to the church village of Aura. Pitkäniitty, on the other hand, is located between the Aura Church Village and the Station Area.
Western villages include e.g. Karviainen, Loistila, and Perko. The western part of Aura stretches to the common border of seven municipalities in Kurjenrahka National Park. The area’s scenery and long cohesive hiking trails provide an exciting place to break away from everyday life.
In the eastern part of the Aura countryside the forest encompasses the fields. Like the eastern center of Aura, the eastern countryside is less populated than its counterpart. On this side of Aura, there are several farms where local production is blooming. Agriculture is therefore a clear determinant of the eastern landscape and activity.
Kuusirahka and Lietsuo are recognizable small villages located less than five kilometers from the center of Aura and 10 kilometers from Tarvasjoki. The eastern countryside is perfect for those whose heart is pounded by the authentic rural landscape.
