A rural village ahead of Aura but not of time – this district offers village life around the picturesque Aura church and the river valley. The children get to attend an authentic village school. On top of that, it is never a long way to Aura city center and Turku.

Life in a village

The Aura Church village is an unmistakable choice for those longing for peaceful meadows and a small village atmosphere. The hamlet is known as the former village of Prunkkala, located outside the Aura borough along Turuntie, about 5 kilometers from the center of Aura and less than 3 kilometers from the village of Pitkäniity. Thus, Aura’s services are a scenic route away from the peaceful church district. In addition, the church district has its own elementary school and sports services.

The historical Aura Church, built in 1804, is a distinctive landmark of the church area. Aura's church activities have been part of the Lieto parish since 2021, which is located less than 20 kilometers from Aura along Old Tampereentie. Additionally the new Aura River tourist route runs through the Church Area, considered one of the most beautiful sights on the route.

Järykselä attracts the ones loving their own space 

Along the Aura River, southwest of the Church Village, lies Järykselä, which is a real find for those dreaming of their own plot. Järykselä Rantamaa is an area close to nature and genuine countryside, where buildability is favorable. On top of that, those envisaging their own garden could finally grant their wish. 

It is about 3 kilometers from Järykselä to the village school. The Aura station area is 6 km away and the distance to Turku is less than 30 km. Thus, the location of the church village of Aura between the two service centers is an ideal alternative for tranquil living.
