Kesämäki is a park-like residential area close to the center of Kaarina. Detached houses built of red brick or wood, cleanliness, tranquility and wooded outdoor landscapes are all common features of Kesämäki. The neighborhood is quite spread-out, and the noise of the city doesn’t reach it.

Kesämäki is only two kilometers away from the diverse variety of services offered in the Kaarina city center, and a bit over 10 kilometers from Turku Market Square. The area is bordered to the north by the Helsinki highway and to the south by the Uudenmaantie leading to the center of Kaarina. The connections to the center of Kaarina are good and it is easy to travel by Kaarina’s internal bus lines, especially along the Uudenmaantie.

In addition to the Kesämäki hill, the neighborhood includes residential areas of Ladjakoski, Kuhilaspelto, Soukkio and Hulkkio, which are located along the Uudenmaantie. In the northwestern part of Kesämäki, Krossi business area hosts many companies, providing jobs for the locals. The neighborhood has different shops, light industry, a gas station and restaurants. In the residential area of Kesämäki there is also a daycare center, Kesämäki sports field and a variety of outdoor routes.
