Kyrö is an ideal place for those who value personal space without compromising on convenient local services and excellent connections. The center of Kyrö offers a health center, a recently renovated Elisenvaara comprehensive school, and a high school.

Turku is conveniently located just half an hour away via Highway 9, and a quick 15-minute drive will take you to Loimaa. Quiet residential areas surround Kyrö’s center, featuring a high density of detached houses nestled in nature. The Laurilantie area, next to the school and sports facilities, also offers vacant plots ready for building.

Numerous vibrant villages, including Kumila, Heikinsuo, Karinainen, and Rahkio, contribute to Kyrö’s lively atmosphere. BMX biking, legos, baseball or something completely different?

There’s no shortage of activities in Kyrö during your free time. Beyond a floodlit fitness track, discover an outdoor gym, disc golf park, and a BMX track. Kyrö boasts its own skate park, and a unique feature is the municipality’s inground pool, offering summer delights and winter cold swims.

Kyrön Kumila is known for Finnish baseball. Pöytyä Sport Club’s women’s baseball team was promoted to Superpes in 2024, and in Kumila, people of all ages can play Finnish baseball in a top club. You can also enjoy the game as a spectator in the Kumila arena.

There’s numerous nature trails and lean-tos (laavut) to explore in Kyrö. The Kuhankuono trails, just half an hour’s drive away, are perfect for those seeking longer trails. Skiing enthusiasts can challenge themselves on the 14 km landscape trail from Kyrö to Heikinsuo and back.

Active associations and a variety of hobbies provided by the Auranlaakso Adult Education Centre (Auranlaakson kansalaisopisto) offer great ways for newcomers to get to know the locals. The Lego Museum Vanha-Palikka also brings joy to all its visitors!
