Kupittaa is flourishing in an excellent location near the center of Turku, with the universities, many jobs, and services all within walking distance. In the Kupittaa park, the whole family can enjoy various hobbies.

Kupittaa is one of Turku's fastest-growing areas, which you can also notice in city development plans for more residential, office, and hospital space. Many high tech facilities for universities and companies are thriving in the area; it is a home for Turku Science Park - a spearhead project of the City of Turku to develop a significant growth center of know-how and technology.

Kupittaa, however, isn't just a concrete jungle. The area is surrounded by one of Finland's oldest and largest city parks, Kupittaa Park (Kupittaanpuisto). There are, for example, swimming, athletics, bowling, football, and basketball facilities in the area. In addition, the area has an active residents' association Kerttuli ry.

Kupittaa has excellent public transport and the area is situated next to the Helsinki Highway (Helsingin valtatie). For those headed towards Helsinki, there is the Kupittaa railway station. The area's rapid development has, however, made finding parking space somewhat difficult. Kupittaa and its neighboring areas have many lunch restaurants, a K-Citymarket supermarket, and other services to cover daily needs.
