Paimio is a town of just over 11,000 inhabitants in Southwest Finland, where you can enjoy excellent services within easy reach. Thanks to its location at the junction of the E18 motorway, it takes less than half an hour to reach Turku and Salo by car and slightly longer by bus. Helsinki is accessible in less than 1.5 hours at best. 

Local bus services ensure convenient transportation within the town. Connections improved further when Paimio joined the Turku region's public transport system, Föli, in 2024!

In Paimio, children have easy access to education, with four primary schools and a high school. Alongside essential services, Paimio offers enriching experiences such as cafes, the Paimio theater and cinema, and renowned craft shops. The iconic Paimio Sanatorium, designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto, stands as Paimio's most famous landmark. This architecturally remarkable building amidst pine trees has garnered international attention, with Finland even applying for UNESCO World Heritage Site status for the sanatorium. 

Aside from the sanatorium, scenic Paimio River’s power plants, captivating local museums, and charming wooden houses along Postinkuja are all worth a visit! Hiking enthusiasts can explore numerous trails, while a mountain biking network near Hiekkahelmi Beach attracts riders of all skill levels.
