Hepojoki

Kaarina

In Hepojoki one can admire traditional field and forest landscapes, and scattered farms and detached houses. In the heart of Hepojoki is the Hepojoki village, a rural residential area.

The spread out fields, large country houses and forests of Hepojoki are 15 kilometers away from the Kaarina city center and 10 kilometers from the center of Paimio. Because of the sparsely populated area, residents might find a car to be necessary for everyday life. Despite that, one can reach Hepojoki village by long-distance bus routes and by Kaarina’s local Föli line. In the south Hepojoki borders the Helsinki highway, so residents can easily reach both Turku and Helsinki by car.

The rural environment of Hepojoki offers a place for people who enjoy their own space, which at the same time means that the majority of public services are a car ride away, closer to Kaarina center. Living in Hepojoki is relatively affordable, however houses are rarely on sale.

The residents of Hepojoki enjoy village-like community and authentic rural feeling. There is an active residents’ association Hepojokiseura, that organizes common activities, preserves the sense of community and shares knowledge to increase awareness about Hepojoki.
