Asemanseutu

Lieto

Located in the northwestern part of Lieto, Asemanseutu offers a wonderful living environment by the Nautelankoski rapid and beautiful natural surroundings. Highway 9, which runs along, enables convenient transport connections to Turku and Tampere.

Excellent connections along the Aurajoki river

Highway 9 and Road 222 pass through Asemansetu, making it easy to travel to, for example, the neighboring city of Turku. From here, it takes 20 minutes by car to get to Turku and less than 15 minutes to the center of Lieto. Locals can also jump aboard the Turku region's public transport ‘Föli’ to get where they need to be.

Road 222, also known as the Aurajoentie tourist road, is excellent for cycling: the bike path is top-notch, and the scenery is incredible. If daring, you can even reach Turku by paddling along the Aurajoki river on a SUP board or in a kayak!

Life along a historical rapid

What makes Asemanseutu truly unique is one of Lieto's most famous natural attractions, Nautelankoskithe longest rapid on the Aurajoki river. Nautelankoski is also surrounded by the largest nature reserve in the Aurajoki valley and several endangered groves and meadows. Locals and visitors have plenty of options to go camping and enjoy nature in Asemanseutu.

You can learn about the area's long history and the significance of the rapid in the Nautelankoski Museum. Children will be delighted by Zoolandia, an amusement park in Asemanseutu. The neighborhood also has a Pahkamäki primary school and Tammentupa daycare center, making everyday life easy for families with children (see locations on the map).

Asemanseutu is an established residential area, and its community spirit is promoted by the local association Lieto Asemanseutu kylayayhdistys ry. The association regularly organizes sports events, neighborhood markets, and other activities for the residents' enjoyment.
