Ilmarinen is one of Lieto's most popular residential areas, where many detached and terraced houses have been built in recent years. The area offers comprehensive services but also has excellent connections to the neighboring Turku and the center of Lieto.

Bike or bus to Turku?

The location of Ilmarinen along Road 222 allows for quick access to Turku, which is only a quarter of an hour away by car. The road is excellent for cycling, so the journey of less than 10 km to the center of Turku is quickly made by bike. There is also nothing to stop you from hopping on Föli, the Turku region's public transport!

The distance to the center of Lieto is about 8 kilometers by car, but only 5 kilometers by bike and on foot. So, the residents of Ilmarinen have the services of two centers relatively close to them.

Ilmarinen is especially popular among families with children

Ilmarinen is an area dominated by detached and semi-detached houses, and the peaceful landscape surrounded by forests offers a perfect setting for residents, especially families with children. Plenty of lots have been available in the area in recent years, and the site is now one of the most popular in Lieto.

The majority of the houses in Ilmarinen are in the area centered around Road 222. You can also find comprehensive essential services such as daycare centers and shops, as well as versatile hobby opportunities there. The Ilmarinen school offers primary education, and the residents actively use the local library. The high school located in the center of Lieto can be easily reached by bike (see the location on the map).

Diverse opportunities for recreational activities

The area is popular with nature enthusiasts since the berry and mushroom forests start at the doorstep. Ilmarinen also has a summer dance hall run by Liedon Luja and versatile sports activities organized by the association, such as the Metsäpirtti gym.

Ilmarinen is located along the Aurajoentie tourist road, leading to several curious destinations and great landscapes in the direction of both Turku and Aura.
