Loukinainen is located right on the border of Kaarina and Turku, making it easy to access both cities’ services from the neighborhood. The drive to the center of Lieto takes 5 minutes, but you can also get there quickly by bike along the bike road. In addition, you can hop on the Turku region’s public transport ‘Föli,’ which operates in Lieto. 

One of the region's most significant business areas, Avanti, is located on the south side of the area. If you are fortunate, you can find a job within walking distance from home!

Loukinainen has a primary school and an active parents' association. The nearest junior high and high schools can be found within a cycling distance in the center of Lieto (see locations on the map). Exercise is also easy; Residents can work up a sweat at the Loukinainen fitness track or head to the Littoistenjärvi lake with its nature trails and swimming beaches not too far away!

The ancient castle Vanhalinna in Loukinainen is a hill fort used in the Middle Ages. Nowadays, it is the area's most famous attraction. The fort is an impressive sight among the surrounding fields, offering the region’s best views for admiring sunsets! The manor house of Vanhalinna is located next to the hill fort and is a beautiful place to visit. The surrounding area also has many nature and culture trails where you can get to know the history and nature of the area.
