Loukinainen

Lieto

Loukinainen is at the junction of three cities, and the short distance to services makes everyday life easy here. Vanhalinna ‘the Old Castle’ Museum and the manor next to it—the remains of the area's long history—bring their unique touch to the neighborhood.

Effortless day-to-day life near big cities

Loukinainen is located right on the border of Kaarina and Turku, making it easy to access both cities’ services from the neighborhood. The drive to the center of Lieto takes 5 minutes, but you can also get there quickly by bike along the bike road. In addition, you can hop on the Turku region’s public transport ‘Föli,’ which operates in Lieto.

One of the region's most significant business areas, Avanti, is located on the south side of the area. If you are fortunate, you can find a job within walking distance from home!

Loukinainen has a primary school and an active parents' association. The nearest junior high and high schools can be found within a cycling distance in the center of Lieto (see locations on the map). Exercise is also easy; Residents can work up a sweat at the Loukinainen fitness track or head to the Littoistenjärvi lake with its nature trails and swimming beaches not too far away!

Recently, new buildings have risen in the area, and the Matintalo area is one of the latest residential areas under construction. The available plots in the area are popular, so aspiring homeowners should act quickly!

The Old Castle brings up memories of the region's long history

The ancient castle Vanhalinna in Loukinainen is a hill fort used in the Middle Ages. Nowadays, it is the area's most famous attraction. The fort is an impressive sight among the surrounding fields, offering the region’s best views for admiring sunsets! The manor house of Vanhalinna is located next to the hill fort and is a beautiful place to visit. The surrounding area also has many nature and culture trails where you can get to know the history and nature of the area.

New and inspiring housing options have also been built in the Vanhalinna area in recent years. The local village association Vanhalinna Omakotiyhdistys ry takes part in the area’s development and offers fun leisure activities for residents.
