Luikkio - Soininen

Naantali

The invigorating sea breeze is an everyday delight for the residents of Luikkio-Soininen. The residential areas of Taimo, Nuhjala, Luikkio, Soininen, and Immanen are known for the surrounding lush nature and the peaceful atmosphere.

Luikkio-Soininen, based on a voting district, spreads out widely. From the neighborhoods of Taimo and Nuhjala, close to the center of Naantali, the residential area spreads out along the seaside to Soininen and Immanen, located approximately 4 kilometers north from the center of Naantali. Taimo and Luikkio are located in the southern parts of the neighborhood, meaning that you are within a walking distance from the center of Naantali.

Alternatively, you can hop on Turku region's public transport Föli that regularly runs along the Aurinkotie road to the center of Naantali, Raisio and Turku. However, in the northern Soininen and Immainen, you might find your own vehicle useful, even though the service buses offer a convenient alternative. In the northern-most parts of Soininen, located on the border of Masku, you can find a true rural landscape with its golden fields and accompanying agricultural buildings.

Luikkio-Soininen is a popular residential area, which sees new homes rising at every turn. The building stock in Soininen is fairly new, as the neighborhood of detached houses was mainly built in the 2000s. New detached and semi-detached houses have also been planned for the stunning area tucked between Luikkiovuori and the seashore. Luikkio-Soininen is especially popular among families with children, and Taimio has its own kindergarten and primary school. A few restaurants and retailers have also set their shop in the area.

For those enjoying the outdoors and breaking a sweat, Luikkio-Soininen offers options aplenty. With a popular beach and a boat harbor, Taimo is seeing its recreational areas being developed even further in the near future. The scenic Luikkionvuori adds to the charm of the neighborhood with a hazel deposit that has been classified as a nature reserve. The Suovuori trail offers tracks for cross-country skiing in the winter and for jogging in the warmer months. A lovely Aurinkopolku nature trail adds additional opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts all year round.
