The neighborhood hugs the center of Raisio and expands to the north. Getting around the Kerttula-Pirilä area is as efficient as it is effortless. While the center of Raisio is easily accessible by bike or on foot, the Turku region's Föli bus takes you with convenience to the other parts of Raisio and Turku center, which is only about seven kilometers away.

There are plenty of opportunities for different housing, as the building stock consists of terraced-, multi-story-, and detached houses. Those looking to live in an apartment building will find themselves in the eastern part of the area in the Venhe neighborhood. Those looking to have a bit more space to stretch out, should instead head to the forested residential community called Kuua, or then find their way to the western-most area in the Pirilä's green surroundings. As a living environment, Kerttula-Pirilä is a serene space. Its landscape is adorned with woodlands, fields, and Raisio Factory rising in the field's horizon.

The services offered in the Raisio city center are just a stone's throw away, and Kerttula is only a few kilometers away from Mylly, the largest shopping center in Southwest Finland. Kerttula school provides primary education for children up to the sixth grade. For pupils possessing more years and knowledge, Vaisaari junior high school and Raisio high school provide teaching in the adjacent neighborhood in the center of Raisio.

The Kerttula Sports Center offers a variety of facilities for sports fans. From outdoor fields to indoor spaces, the area includes a jogging track, ice rink, tennis courts, and a sports hall, among others. Here, nature is also right at your fingertips, as the Kerttula nature trail offers a lush mixed forest path with rugged spruces and straight-trunked elderly pine trees and the rocky Kuuanvuori site. No need to look for extra motivation to go for a run or a recharging power walk.
