Moisio is a northern neighborhood in Turku with a countryside feeling. The area holds both old and new townhouses surrounded by fields and forests.

Moisio is an interesting combination of countryside and nature with townhouses from different decades located about 8 kilometers north of the center of Turku. Moisio is located conveniently close to the Turku Airport and it borders with the Rusko municipality. There are plenty of parks and forests in Moisio near the residential area and also large fields and loosely populated areas with farmhouses. Moisio’s own peculiarity is a Buddhist temple in the middle of the fields.

Moisio’s residential area consists mostly of town and terraced houses built in the 1990s and 2000s. Anyhow, there are plenty of houses with lush gardens from the previous decades as well. Housing prices vary a lot depending on the age and condition of housing. Moisio has an active homeowners association called Moision Pientalot ry.

There are good basic services in Moisio, such as daycare, the school of Moisio, a sports hall, a sports field, and a grocery store. Sports facilities include a running track in the middle of the forest. More services like a library and a junior high school can be found in the bordering neighborhood of Yli-Maaria. Connections to the center of Turku are fast due to the Tampere highway, which runs by Moisio. The public transport public transport runs regularly to and from the center of Turku.
