Teräsrautela is a neighborhood surrounding Länsikeskus, one of the major shopping areas in Turku. The area has versatile housing options and a great variety of services.

Teräsrautela is located about 5 kilometers northeast of the center of Turku. The area is easy to reach, as Satakunnantie towards Raisio runs along the southern border of Teräsrautela. In addition, there are excellent public transport connections in the area. Located next to Satakunnantie is the Länsikeskus shopping area, which includes Citymarket, Lidl and Prisma hypermarkets as well as many other service providers.

Teräsrautela is a pleasant neighborhood consisting of both apartment buildings and townhouses with lush gardens. The price level varies in the area as there are both old and newly built houses. In addition to Länsikeskus, there are great sports and outdoor facilities in the area and in its surroundings. In the eastern part, there is a large outdoor area called Kuninkojanlaakso which also holds a horseback riding school. In the neighboring area called Kaerla there are Impivaara sports center facilities including an indoor swimming pool, an indoor ice rink, an archery trail and football halls.

Operating in this area is an active neighborhood association Länsi-Turun Asukasyhdistys ry. It aims to promote the attractiveness of the region, create cooperation among residents, promote the interests of residents and contribute to the development of services and the living environment.
