Nunna

Kaarina

Nunna is a low-density area filled with wooded hills and fields. In Nunna you can enjoy your own peace, the scent of the forest and the rural landscape.

Nunna is located in the north of Kaarina bordering Lieto, between Littoinen and the center of Piikkiö. Although Nunna has a rural feel, it is well connected to Kaarina, Turku and the Helsinki highway by road. Public transport Föli goes from the neighboring area Littoinen to the center of Turku.

Nunna’s population is mainly concentrated in the northwest of the neighborhood near the Littoinen residential area. Nunna is a cozy old neighborhood with generous plots and lush gardens. Further south, Nunna has individual houses dotting the countryside. The nearest public services, such as a school and a kindergarden, are located in Littoinen and other services are about 5 km away in the center of Kaarina.

Nunna suits somebody who loves peace and nature, but there is also social life in the neighborhood. There is Nunna’s regional residents’ association, which organizes community activities and takes care of the frisbee golf course, running paths, nature trails, and picnic shelters.
