Linnanfältti

Turku

Linnanfältti is a paradise of modern wooden houses, some of them still in the making. It's within walking distance from the center of Turku: river Aura, museum ships and restaurants call for everyone to enjoy the area.

The Linnanfältti district is located right at the river mouth, next to the Port of Turku and the historically significant Turku Castle built in the Middle Ages. The Linnanfältti neighborhood could be described as a center of culture and art: there are plenty of museums and Arts Academy and Turku Conservatory are located in the area. Linnanfältti is one of the national pilot projects of the Finnish Government's Wood-use Promotion Program 2004–2010.

Linnanfältti has excellent public transport connections. In addition there is a beautiful walking lane by the river Aura leading all the way to the center of Turku. Living costs in the area are relatively high due to Linnanfältti’s good location and especially newly built apartment buildings. Most historical buildings and wooden houses in the area will be preserved and renovated.
