Paikkari

Paikkari is a green neighborhood in the western part of Raisio that shares a border with Naantali. In the north, the area is bordered by Naantali railway line and in the east by Piuhanoja brook descending into the Raisio Bay. Paikkari lies five kilometers away from Raisio city center. You can also reach the center of Naantali in just 10 minutes and the center of Turku in a bit more than 20 minutes by car or motorbike. For those moving around without their own motorised vehicle, Turku region's Föli busses can bring you to the Raisio center in five minutes. From there, the impeccably punctual and frequently operating bus network takes you further.

The idyllic Paikkari consists of mostly detached houses. The neighborhood has a beautiful blend of both new and old detached homes, the oldest ones dating back all the way to the 1930s. The unquestioned landmark of the area is the Raisio water tower, which proudly stands out from its surroundings.

The different nature trails in Järviniitty and several grassy parks increase the comfort of living, naturally. Besides the delighting ecosystem services, there are a few restaurants and some specialty shops in the area. For families with children, it may be good to know that while there are no schools in Paikkari, there are primary schools in Kaanaa, Nuorikkala, and Tikanmaa, just a stone’s throw away (read: few kilometers in this case).
