Pääskyvuori is a neighborhood with lovely town houses and lush gardens. The area is located near both shopping opportunities and green outdoor areas.

Pääskyvuori is located seven kilometers east of the center of Turku and the neighborhood has around 5,000 residents. The area mostly consists of detached houses, townhouses and apartment buildings located in Hurttivuori and Laukkavuori.

There is a hill that goes by the same name, and its landmark is the highest building in Turku – the 134-meter-tall Pääskyvuori Link Tower (Linkkitorni). It used to be an important tv-tower as the majority of the international communication and tv-signals run through it. By the way, the name Pääskyvuori comes from the small bird pääskynen (swallow in English).

The residents of Pääskyvuori have good access to services, since the Prisma Itäharju hypermarket is nearby, as well as the Varissuo shopping center. Not to mention great outdoor areas within reach. The area is also conveniently located and many bus routes run through the area. The residents’ association Pääskyvuoriseura is active in the area, organizing all sorts of events and making initiatives for the development of the area.
