Turku

In Paattinen, one can enjoy the peace of the countryside, yet within a half an hour drive from the services in the center of Turku. The village community is close-knit and nature is ever-present in residents’ life.

Paattinen is the largest district of Turku in terms of surface area, and it is located around 20 kilometers from the center of Turku. The area ends at the northern Kuhankuono hiking route http://www.kuhankuono.fi/en/start/, which is a part of Kurjenrahka National Park. There is a border post shared by seven municipalities (Aura, Masku, Mynämäki, Nousiainen, Pöytyä, Rusko and Turku). Paattinen is a former independent municipality and includes several villages.

Paattinen is primarily scarcely populated and suits those who want enjoy their space in a peaceful area with lots of nature. There are mostly idyllic farmhouses and newly built townhouses in the area with few row houses in the center of Paattinen. The price level is moderate compared to the average prices in Turku.

Paattinen has basic services such as a school and a grocery store. In addition, there is a community house (aluetalo) with a youth center, gym and swimming pool. Despite the distance from the city center, you can take a bus to Paattinen. There is a residents’ association Paattisten seura in the area.
